FAQs

Our Academic Coaching Studio is designed for middle school, high school, and college students (typically ages 13+).

If your student is outside this range but you believe they’d benefit from executive function coaching, please contact us — we’re happy to discuss whether the studio would be a good fit.

We intentionally keep our studio groups small and supportive — typically 6–8 students per session.
This allows for plenty of individualized coaching while also creating the benefits of body doubling and positive peer accountability.

While we enroll up to 12 total members, not all students attend every session — so studio groups remain a manageable, focused size.

You can enroll in a monthly coaching membership — choosing the level of support that fits your student’s needs (1x/week, 2x/week, or unlimited attendance).

Memberships renew monthly and can be adjusted as needed — there’s no long-term commitment required.

Attendance is flexible within your membership level.

Students can attend on days and times that work best for them during open studio hours — no pre-scheduling required.

Many students develop a regular routine (such as Tuesdays and Sundays) for consistency, but occasional adjustments for life and school schedules are perfectly fine.

No — our Academic Coaching Studio is an educational coaching service, not a child care program or after-school care.

Families enroll their students to receive executive function coaching and academic success support.

Students attend sessions to actively engage in coaching, structured work, and skill-building — this is not a drop-off care or custodial service.

No diagnosis is required. We welcome any student who struggles with focus, executive function, or organization — whether or not they have a formal ADHD diagnosis.

While tutoring focuses on specific subject content, our Academic Coaching Studio builds the underlying executive function skills that help students succeed across all subjects — skills like organization, time management, task initiation, and follow-through.

Students use their studio time to apply these skills in real work sessions, with the support of trained executive function coaches — creating both immediate progress and long-term growth.

Students typically stay for 1–2 hours per visit, depending on their needs, workload, and energy that day.

Our Academic Coaching Studio is a flexible coaching environment — not a drop-off care program — and students attend to actively engage in coaching, focused work, and skill-building during studio hours.

Students should bring any materials they need to work on — such as homework, a laptop, planner, or study guides.

We provide the coaching structure and support — students bring the work they want to focus on during their session.

Absolutely! Many families find this is the perfect combination — the Academic Coaching Studio provides built-in focused work time and real-time coaching during studio hours, while 1:1 coaching offers deeper support for building personalized executive function skills, strategies, and habits that carry over into all areas of life.
